Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Akshay Kumar were honoured with the Padma Shri by President Prathibha Patil at the Rashtrapati Bhavan for their contribution to cinema. It is a great achievement for the both actors who have been a part of the Indian Film industry for over a decade.
