After Padikkathavan success, the team of actor Dhanush, director Suraaj and Sun Pictures have joined hands for the next flick Maapillai. This is the remake of Rajinikanth’s superhit film. With Sun Pictures acquiring the rights of Maapillai, the expectation meter has just gone further up.
The remake project Maapillai has music scored by Mani Sharma. Maapillai is about the tiff between a rich and powerful mother-in-law and the poor son-in-law. While the late actress Sri Vidya essayed the role of Rajini’s mother-in-law in the original version, Jayaprada has donned the greasepaint for the remake.
