Is Khatta Meeta a remake?
Director Priyadarshan’s upcoming flick Khatta Meeta starring Akshay Kumar and south Indian actress Trisha is said to be a remake of a popular Malayalam film Vellanakalude Nadu which hit the screens in 1990. Mohanlal and Shobana played the lead roles in the film. While Akshay Kumar will play Mohanlal’s role, Trisha will essay Shobana’s character. The director is believed to have added some real life incidents to the original script and made a few changes to suit the present day audience.
