“Now Kapoor has signed Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision’s next to be directed by Imtiaz Ali for Rs 12 crores. Ranbir has wanted to work with Imtiaz and would’ve readily signed the film for a far lesser amount. But he is being offered big money, so why should be refuse?,” asked a trade pundit.
However the spokesperson for Shree Ashtavinayak says, “It is true that we have signed Ranbir for Imtiaz’s new movie but not for 12 crores. As a part of the contract, we have with the actors we can’t discuss the remuneration publicly anyways.”
