As the New Year is set to begin, actor Karthi Sivakumar has all happy news on the way. His second film after Paruthiveeran is set to release for Pongal. Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan and Lingusamy’s Payya both were supposed to hit the marquee for Pongal 2010. But as per Producer Council’s regulations, two films with the same hero cannot be released on the same day. This has caused some kind of tension between the producers of these two films. While Raveendran, the producer of Aayirathil Oruvan claims that his film was the first one to be commenced and has every right to be released on Pongal day, Lingusamy the producer of Payya is keen to release his film as it was completed before AO.

But now the picture is clear that AO will be given a safe berth on Pongal day and Payya will be released 20 days after Pongal.

Let any film release first but it is a happy beginning for Karthi!
