Finally it’s going to be Manisha Koirala who will play Dhanush’s mother-in-law in the Mappillai remake. About 8 years back the actress played the lead opposite superstar Rajinikanth in Baba.

Shedding all her inhibitions, she seems to have agreed to play Dhanush’s mother in law character that was made immortal by late Srividya.

This has put an end on the speculations that carried Jayapradha and Sridevi’s names for the role. Speaking to the press yesterday, Dhanush revealed the same adding that Manisha will sign the contract soon.

Mappillai is directed by Suraaj and will serve as the debut vehicle of Hansika Motwani, already popular in Tollywood circles.
