Director Hari and Surya had announced to work together in the sequel of Singam which was said to be titled Singam 2. Now, this project has been dropped. Some difficulties are said to have cropped which resulted in shelving the project. However, Surya and Hari have agreed to work together in future if a suitable script comes their way.

Also, director Hari has decided to go ahead and make a film with Vishal. He has finalized the script and is awaiting to start the project with Vishal.
