Superstar Rajinikanth’s younger daughter and superhit film Goa’s producer Soundarya Rajinikanth is set to wed businessman Ashwin Ramkumar on September 2nd 2010. Their engagement was held at Park Sheraton Hotel in Chennai on February 17th and the wedding date was not disclosed. Now it is officially anounced that wedding will take place on Sep 2 at Raja Muthiah Hall in Chennai.

Previously there were speculations that Soundarya would enter wedlock after completing her dream project Sultan – The Warrior. With the announcement of the wedding date, looks like Sultan – The Warrior will be out soon.

After the success of Goa, director Venkat Prabhu has moved on to his next project stealthily. Sources reveal that the next project is also a comedy movie that will have Premji Amaran and Thamizh Padam Siva playing the lead roles.

Produced by Venkat Prabhu’s usual Siva for his banner Amma Creations, the movie is tentatively titled Poochandi. Music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Other details and an official confirmation in this regard are awaited.

South Indian actress Mamta Mohandas who is also a trained classical singer says that she is happy concentrating in her acting career. The cute actress feels that she can take up playback singing after a couple of years.

Mamta who sung Daddy Mummy song in Villu, composed by music director Devi Sri Prasad, was a great hit. The actress is currently busy with Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films. When asked about her bollywood venture, Mamata says that she is waiting for the right opportunity.
