Pathan brothers in Tere Mere Beach Mein

September 08, 2009 By: admin1 Category: Actor, Actress, Bollywood, Television, Uncategorized

This Sunday there won’t be any Bollywood celebs in Farah Khan chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein. Instead we will get to see the young cricketing brothers of Indian Team Yusuf and Irfan Pathan. They would be seen discussing their relationship in front of the media.
Pathan brothers were extremely polite to one another and claimed that they had no rivalry between each other and were happy when they were known as each other’s brother. The brothers discussed how they had to face one another and let go off emotions during the Indian Premier League season.
The younger brother Irfan is already engaged while the elder Yusuf is yet to open his innings. When Farah asked Yusuf to choose a bride from a whole lot of actresses, he let his younger one speak as he was shied away. However, he was very much interested when Vidya Balan’s photo popped up. They met another set of brothers who too shared a similar closeness with one another.
They all joked and imitated one another before Farah made them play a game and then the trio danced to Hello Brother!

Sonam in Danny Boyle’s production

Daddy Anil Kapoor is hoping that Sonam’s next film Ayesha, which is also their home production, will mark her comeback in B-town. But still does not want to take any chances and was trying hard to convince Danny Boyle.
“Danny Boyle had already zeroed in on producing an untitled Anurag Kashyap film and Anil has finally convinced the ace director to do what he does best, again. The film that stars Sonam would have the signature Boyle stamp on it, but with the usual Bollywood flavour. Danny was very impressed with Sonam and readily agreed. They plan on making an official announcement at the London film festival in October” sources said.
Considering the pace in which Sonam’s career is heading, she might need all the help possible in establishing herself as an actress in Bollywood. While Ayesha does show some hope, we still are a little apprehensive on Abhay stealing her thunder. Let’s hope Boyle gives Sonam the hit she and her dad are so eagerly waiting for.

Director Priyadarshan couldn’t believe that his film Kanchivaram has won National Award for Best Film. “This isn’t just my first National award it’s my first award ever! Can you believe, in my career of 25 years as film director this is the first time I’ve won an award. And that I’ve won it for Kanchivaram is a very special thing for me. This film is very close to my heart” says the director emotionally
This serious director is back to his masala films and is gearing for the release of De Dana Dan. “Now when the critics see De Dana Dan they’ll say Priyan is back to his old tricks,” chuckles the director. “But I am proud of my masala films as well. It’s very important for a film to get an audience.”
All his serious-toned films in Hindi including the recent Billu with Shah Rukh Khan have been adaptations from South Indian films and have been failures.
And while speaking about Kanchivaram, Priyan says, “Kanchivaram is a completely original screenplay. And I’m really happy for my leading man Prakash Raj. He has breathed life into the role of the silk weaver. Sabu Cyril who has worked many times with me got the National award for best art direction. Sabu has made every frame look like a silk saree woven with love and care.”
Though the director missed out National Award for Best Director, he has no regrets. He says “But no regrets. Adoor Gopalkrishnan is a colleague I greatly admire. He deserved it. I’m just glad to be finally recognized after all these years.”
