Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti Haasan who is making her debut in Soham Shah’s ‘Luck’ has no inhibitions in shedding off her clothes. For her, it is like any other scenes and feels no difference. She dons a two-piece and completely drenched at two degree temperature in Cape Town.

Shruti says, “When Soham narrated the script, I did not even consider the bikini thing as a big deal it was logical to the premise. While shooting for it, the weather was very weird that day. It was freezing cold, but apart from that it was like any other scene in the film for me.”

The director adds, “The scene involves Imran Khan, Ravi Kissen and Mithun Chakraborthy. Shruti was not at all apprehensive of wearing a two-piece swim wear as she was aware of it from before. The scene is totally justified as Ravi Kishen’s character pins his eyes on her.”

Shruti’s bikini was specially designed by Soham’s designer wife, Binal Shah.

The Imran-Shruti Haasan starrer Luck is being readied for a July release while the music has already hit the stores across the country. The action-thriller serves as the launch pad for Kamal’s daughter who is already popular in the music scene with songs to her credit and after bagging the offer to compose music for Kamal’s Unnai Pol Oruvan.

Much to her delight, noted Bollywood analysts predict Shruti’s debut to be better than the other two south Indian beauties Asin and Trisha – who recently signed a Priyadarshan film opposite Akshay Kumar. With an impressive star cast and a promising plot Shruti’s luck could just be around the corner if the movie hits the bull’s eye.

There have been rumors that Vikram might be roped in for 19th Step, directed by Bharat Bala. Unconfirmed reports indicate that a meeting did take place between the star and the director. Vikram is truly excited that his Kanthaswamy will be released soon. He is also working on Raavan with ace director Mani Ratnam.

Director Bharat Bala is said to be doing deep research on the topic and does not want any controversies, especially with a period film and hence there have not been any formal press meet or announcements. He is said to be consulting writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair and wants to make it as authentic as he can!

19th Step will have A.R. Rahman teaming up with Bharat Bala once again after the Vande Mataram music album.

This film is produced by Walt Disney Productions, and has Asin and Tadanobu Asano in lead roles. Kamal Haasan is also said to be in the cast, but there has been no confirmation yet.
