Asin has bagged the International Tamil Film Awards award for the best actress for her performance in Kamal Hassan’s Dasavatharam.
The ITFA was instituted to appreciate honour and recognize all who have contributed towards the success of Tamil film industry at an International level.
The awards will be presented in a ceremony at Singapore on the 16th of May, in which Asin will receive this prestigious award.
Kamal Hassan’s Thalaivan Irukkiraan movie has undergone a title change and now it will be called as Unnai Pol Oruvan. Unnai Pol Oruvan trailer has been released recently and it already creating waves among all Kamal fans. The movie shooting Started on April 7th in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Rao studios. This movie has much expectation as Kamal is acting after a period of nearly one year after his last blockbuster Dasavatharam. The movie is also remake of the much acclaimed Bollywood film A Wednesday.
The remake of the much acclaimed bollywood movie ‘A Wednesday’ is named Thalaivan Irukkiraan in Tamil and Eenadu in Telugu where Kamal Hassan is donning the lead role. The shooting of this bilingual movie started on April 7th in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Rao studios. Thalaivan Irukkiraan is one of the much expected movies of Kollywood in 2009, since Kamal is acting after a period of nearly one year after his last blockbuster Dasavatharam.
Thalaivan Irukkiraan will be directed by Chakri. The film will have Mohanlal playing a supporting role in the Tamil version while Venkatesh plays the same role in the Telugu. Sources say that the entire shoot of the film will be mostly at Ramoji Rao studios and the entire shooting will be completed by May 31, and the film will be most likely to be released on July 4.
Shruti Hassan, daughter of Kamal Hassan will also make her debut as a music composer in the movie. The movie will also see two of Indian cinema’s finest actors – Kamal Hassan and Mohanlal coming together for the first time.
